10 Projects You Need from 2010

Indiana Rome "Who The Hell Left The Gate Open"
release date: 10.26.10

Indiana Rome has both a message and a hammer to slap the game with, and over these rattlin' riddims, he doesn't fail. You've got some enlightening anthems right up against some get money slappers, and it all works. Featuring Force affiliates like Tef Poe, Tech Supreme, Corey Black, Rockwell Knuckles and many more.Curse whomever left that gate open - a midwestern storm has entered...

Hearskra-Z "Carnival of Sols"

release date: 06.15.2010

HearsKra-Z has crafted a unique style of his own. Carnival of Sols represents the best of hip-hop while solidly establishing Kra-Z as a new voice in the genre. Definitely a contender for best upbeat summer album.

Download "Carnival of Sols"

Wiz Khalifa "Kush & Orange Juice"
release date: 04.14.2010

Hands down one of Khalifas' best projects. Period. If your not much of a weed smoker though it doesn't hit home as close to those packin' up those bowls with bubblin' kief.

Nipsey Hussle "The Marathon"
release date: 12.22.2010

Well I was definitely contemplating downloading this new mixtape from Nipsey Hussle because I had downloaded his last mixtape ‘Bullet’s Don’t Have Name’s Vol. 3′ when it was released last year & wasn’t very impressed, but I kept hearing this mixtape was a lot better and had some cool concepts with the different songs on it, so I decided to give it a chance & check it out! I don’t regret checking it out because there are for sure bangers that even made it on my ‘New Music’ playlist via my itunes like “Love”, “Key 2 The City”, “A Million”, “I Be Killen”, “Call From The Bank” feat. MGMT & many more dope tracks. Besides Game & Tyga, Nipsey Hussle is definitely the next wave of new artist coming from the West Coast & keeping their coast afloat with DOPE music.

SAV "Padded Soul"
release date: 07.14.2010

SaV brings you threw his favorite parts of his favorite Soul songs using the MPC 2000XL.
This project is basically a chopped up version of a Soul music compilation from the late 60's to late 70's. The MPC version of a compilation.

Rockwell Knuckles "Choose Your Own Adventure"
release date: 03.16.2010

Fresh sounds that expertly balanced commercial and lyrical hip-hop. In other words, I highly recommend you check it out. With tracks like "Shooting Star" and "Government Name' building momentum, it may just be a matter of time before Knuckles becomes a household name.
And I won't site here and let you tell me that you didn't cheat when you were reading those "Choose Your Own Adventure" books back in the day. You know you were flipping through the pages like the rest of us. Don't front.

Roc Marciano "Marcberg"
release date: 05.04.2010

In an industry full of copycats and kittens, Roc Marciano is poised to become the undisputed champ. Marcberg is a hard-hitting, unremorseful classic based on the same code of ethics that made the golden era so immaculate. Forget Little Mac; Roc Marciano is the one wearing the title belt.

Nato Caliph "Reach"
release date: 08.09.2010

If the rap gods have any sense of justice, Nato Caliph will go down in history as St. Louis' equivalent to Common.

Black Spade "To Build & Destroy"
release date: 07.18.2010

Although he’s released more than his fair share of material either as a solo artist and with Hawthorne Headhunters, Black spade has never dropped a mixtape, unlike most artists in today’s landscape. I should know because I’ve been buggin’ him for years to be the ones to push one if he ever decided to. And that time has finally come.

Tef Poe "Money Never Sleeps"
release date: 03.11.2010

Here is Tef Poe’s newest project called Money Never Sleeps. This project is presented by The Smoking Section and Trackstar the DJ. Guest appearances by Bryant Stewart, Theresa Payne, Teresa Jenee, and Rockwell Knuckles. Beats by Tech Supreme, Rome, Trifeckta, Nodzilla and more. Download and enjoy.

RawCore Radio is officially back from it's year+ hiatus, doing what they have done best; dropping those ill Hip-Hop, Rap, & R&B records 24/7-365. NO commercials. NO plugs. NO talking. Period. Honorable deejays such as Spec, Motts, Needles, Red Alert, Splitface, Mahf, & Secret Code have had featured mixes or even took the time out to donate "custom mixes", specifically formated for the show.
RawCore Radio was started in 2006 by SAV & DJ Spec of the Basement Sound System. RawCore has gradually built a strong listening base with the ever so steady format of mixing classic records while supporting Independent artists.
2010 brings new hosts, new formats & more music than ever to RawCore Radio. Butcher Baker, the new host & Program Director, will be picking up where everything was left in May 2009.
